Position Summary:

YES BANK is seeking an accomplished and agile communications professional to join as Assistant Vice President – Corporate Communications. This strategic leadership role reports directly to the Head of Corporate Communications and is pivotal to shaping the Bank’s narrative across reputation, media, internal engagement, brand positioning, and stakeholder communication.

 

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise across the communications spectrum, thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment, and demonstrate the confidence and maturity to independently own and drive projects from start to finish. This role demands a high degree of ownership, strategic thinking, and comfort in being a proactive individual contributor while also influencing cross-functional teams.

 

Core Responsibilities:

 

           External Communications & Reputation Management:

Drive proactive media relations, public positioning, and issue mitigation to enhance YES BANK’s corporate reputation across stakeholder groups and public platforms.

 

           Strategic Brand & Thought Leadership Communication:

Develop and embed brand-aligned communication strategies. Lead thought leadership platforms to amplify the Bank’s voice and showcase executive perspective.

 

           Executive Communication & CXO Content:

Partner with CXO offices to craft impactful speeches, authored articles, investor messaging, and LinkedIn content—reflecting business priorities and leadership tone.

 

           Crisis & Regulatory Communication:

Lead communication strategy during crises, manage SEBI LODR and MPM-related disclosures, and ensure compliance in collaboration with Legal, Risk, and IR teams.

 

           Internal Communications & Engagement:

Design and execute campaigns that align employees with strategic objectives, drive engagement, and reinforce culture and compliance.

 

           Statutory Reports & Editorial Oversight:

Oversee high-impact content for Annual Reports, regulatory disclosures, and corporate announcements. Maintain superior editorial standards.

 

           AI/ML-Led Communication Innovation:

Apply AI/ML tools for data-led storytelling, trend analysis, and content generation to enhance communication impact and efficiency.

 

           Corporate Social Media, Awards & Case Studies:

Manage YES BANK’s corporate social media content strategy. Drive award nominations and external case study development in line with brand positioning.

 

           Event, Vendor & Budget Management:

Oversee planning and execution of strategic events. Manage vendors and optimise budgets with a compliance-first and cost-conscious approach.

 

           PR Agency Management:

Lead the engagement with external PR agencies—ensuring alignment with brand goals, strategic storytelling, and measurable outcomes.

 

Ideal Candidate Profile:

 

           Postgraduate in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related fields

           9+ years of progressive experience in corporate communications, preferably in BFSI or other highly regulated sectors

           Proven experience in handling PR agencies and external communications partners

           Exceptional writing and editing skills; strong command of strategic content creation

           Demonstrated comfort operating as an individual contributor with high ownership and initiative

           Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced, and evolving business environment

           Experience with CXO-level communication, executive visibility, and crisis response

           Familiarity with AI/ML tools for communication and analytics

           Strong interpersonal skills, leadership maturity, and stakeholder management capability
