Position Overview:

Are you a word wizard who gets the social and development sector? Do you thrive on research and have a flair for curating content that makes people stop and take notice? If you’ve got 3+ years of experience under your belt, we need you on our team as a Communications Specialist! 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be our content DJ, spinning the best tunes (a.k.a. high-quality content) across social media, blogs, reports, and newsletters. Keep your finger on the pulse of industry trends, news, and best practices to keep our content fresh and relevant
  • Research: Dive deep into themes such as climate, gender, health, tech for good, and bring back treasure troves of data, stats, and stories to fuel our content. Turn complex information into easy-to-understand, engaging content that resonates with our audience.
  • Content Creation: Craft and execute social media strategies that make our followers double-tap and share. Keep an eye on social media metrics and tweak our strategies for maximum impact. Work closely with our awesome team and partners to ensure content is consistent, accurate, and on point. Bring your A-game to brainstorming sessions and help us come up with killer content ideas. Juggle multiple projects like a pro, ensuring everything is delivered on time and looks amazing. Keep our content calendar in check and make sure everything goes live as planned.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field. At least 3 years of experience in content creation and management, preferably in the social and development sector
