Pacta is a Bengaluru based boutique law and policy think tank dedicated to supporting civil society organizations, government, and social impact initiatives. Pacta has an unflinching commitment to provide legal and policy consulting support for public service delivery. Pacta engages in law and policy research through self-driven and collaborative projects. Specifically, we focus on three thematic areas – diversity and inclusion, technology, and philanthropy. We are a team of 10+ inter disciplinary researchers with legal, public policy, and other diverse backgrounds.
Pacta is looking for Communications Associate, starting from April 10, 2024. Though Pacta adopts a work from office policy, the selected candidate may be offered a hybrid option if preferred, with the flexibility to work remotely and out of the Pacta office (located at Jeevan Bhima Nagar, Bengaluru).
· Collaborate closely with team members to develop and execute communication strategies across various channels. We run two letters and carry out deep academic and action research on the three thematic areas of diversity and inclusion, technology, and philanthropy with an interdisciplinary lens.
· Lead the dissemination and content production of Pacta’s– research reports, positions papers, participation in conferences etc.
· Work closely with our in-house graphic designer to convert legal policy research or outputs into impactful design catering to various stakeholders.
· Assist in developing and implementing comprehensive communication plans to promote Pacta’s initiatives, events, and projects.
· Create engaging content for digital platforms and manage content, including social media posts, blog articles, newsletters, and website updates.
· Monitor and analyze social media trends and optimize content performance to drive audience growth.
· Monitor any new developments in the law and policy across Pacta’s focus areas and promote team engagement with the content through organization of workshops or discussions.
· Support the team by engaging with Pacta’s stakeholders, clients.
· Manage and support any other communications and partnership-related activities
· Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Design, Public Relations, Law, Marketing or a related field
· 0-2 years of experience in communications, marketing or related role or demonstration of portfolio of work
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, passionate about law and policy as a lever for social change, self-motivated and able to work with diverse stakeholders.
· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
· Proficiency in using digital communication tools and platforms, including social media management tools, content management systems (CMS), and email marketing software.
· Basic knowledge of graphic design and video editing software is a plus.
· Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
