Atlassian is looking for a communications leader to support the Indian region. With a large R&D workforce that has been rapidly growing over the last five years, you will help shape culture and employee engagement experiences specific to India, Atlassian’s third largest region.
Reporting to the Office of the CEO, you’ll work with stakeholders from across all areas of the business including Internal Communications, Global Corporate Communications, the Indian Workplace Experience team and our Indian HR Business partners.
With a role predominately focussed on building out internal communication strategies for the Indian region and it’s leaders, this job will suit someone who loves to guide communication strategies, shape messaging and narratives that motivate, inspire and celebrate values and culture, enjoys working with leaders and executives and who has a passion for developing and executing programs end-to-end.
Working at Atlassian
Atlassians can choose where they work – whether in an office, from home, or a combination of the two. That way, Atlassians have more control over supporting their family, personal goals, and other priorities. We can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.
This is a remote position. Our office is in Bengaluru, but we offer flexibility for eligible candidates to work remotely across India. Whatever your preference – working from home, an office, or in between – you can choose the place that’s best for your work and your lifestyle.
In this role you will:
Be responsible for India-led enterprise communications including driving local Town Hall events in partnership with our Workplace Experience team, leading crisis communications in the India region and supporting communications around local cultural celebrations
Drive communication initiatives for international executives who are travelling to India
Work with our Global Corporate Communications team to land local media stories about our products and culture. This includes working with our local PR agency partners
Support local leaders and teams with communication objectives, both internally and externally
Help India scale and grow as an important region for Atlassian’s future
On Day 1 you’ll be expected to have:
A strong muscle for managing and working with multiple stakeholders
A desire to show up as a team player with a willingness to both develop strategies and execute work end-to-end
Pride in being a flexible thinker, with a strength for working in grey areas and in fast-moving and rapidly changing environments
Experience influencing key decision-makers on communications programs
Experience in owning and driving internal communications projects. External media experience is also preferred.
A deep understanding of the local media landscape
Experience in the technology industry is preferred, and previous experience working for global companies is a plus
Around 7-10 years experience working in communications
