WRI India, an independent charity legally registered as the India Resources Trust, provides objective information and practical proposals to foster environmentally sound and socially equitable development. WRI India’s mission is to move human society to live in ways that protect Earth’s environment and its capacity to provide for the needs and aspirations of current and future generations. Through research, analysis, and recommendations, WRI India puts ideas into action to build transformative solutions to protect the earth, promote livelihoods, and enhance human well-being.
We are inspired by and associated with World Resources Institute (WRI), a global research organization. Currently, over 150 researchers are working with WRI India in our offices in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru.
Overview of the Position
Position Details as the Senior Associate, you will support the WRI India Core Communications team. You need to have knowledge of how the Indian media works, and someone who is meticulous and enthusiastic. An interest in environmental issues, the social sector and international development is.
How your day will unfold:
• Be the points of contact for media inquiries, coordinating responses and ensuring accurate representation of WRI India’s messaging.
• Develop and implement communication strategies for main projects.
• Help organize media events and provide on-ground support/coordination at main events
• Prepare briefs on environmental issues, social sector, and international development, providing regular updates and analysis to the communications team and draft compelling and accurate content for main audiences, ensuring understanding of WRI India’s vision and messaging
Requirements and Qualifications we seek:
▪ Master’s Degree in a relevant with minimum 4-7 years’ experience
▪ Candidates with experience working with media and communications
▪ Manage multiple projects at the same time.
▪ Strong communication skills, including written and oral communications.
▪ Ability to work in a team and coordinate with multiple team members.
▪ An ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines.
Salary and Benefits: INR 11,00,000-13,00,000
Salary shall be commensurate with experience and skills. WRI offers a generous and comprehensive benefits package.
Duration: 1 year (Extendable based on performance and project requirements)
Location: Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore
