Internal communications Leader

Amazon is seeking an experienced, analytical, strategic and creative communications leader with a proven track record of building effective internal communications and employee engagement programs for large, fast-moving, global organizations. You will be charged with developing and implementing programs, content, and tools that engage Amazon’s Corporate employees in India. At the same time, join us in the journey to build a modern internal comms organization that’s well-integrated with our external communications to make internal comms strategic and proactive, helping not just inform our colleagues but providing them with meaningful content that drives their understanding of the Amazon culture, arms them with credible responses for challenging situations and makes them true brand ambassadors for the company.


The India Internal Communications leader provides communications counsel and support to various Indian leaders to help them effectively engage with employees across the country, located in physical and virtual sites, including on decisions with potential impact on the employee experience and reputation of the organization, and developing strategies to mitigate and manage risk. Additionally, the role works as the connecting point with the global Internal Communications organization and is responsible for developing/ maintaining and providing relevant local feedback for global campaigns and global channels and supporting Indian business(es) for relevant India campaigns.

The Internal Communications Leader ensures that all messaging reinforces our culture and that we have consistent, intentional themes threaded throughout communications, identifying appropriate communications channels (All Hands meetings, video messages, newsletters, blogs, internal social media tools, team meetings, etc.), content, and teaches others how to deliver that content. The role reports to the Asia Pacific Head, Internal Corporate Communications, with strong connect to the Global Internal Comms and India leadership team, and is expected to adopt a data driven approach and work with their team to deliver a highly engaging tactical plan that’s well integrated with the overall comms strategy and objectives.
